Introduction

Adam is a 15-year-old teenager who has the strange peculiarity of having a body that changes, in based on the mockery and negative comments he receives from those around him. The accumulation of its physical changes, only adds a layer of complexity to those already present in his life.

Director

Joël Vaudreuil

When Adam changes, which will be released in 2023, is the first feature film written and directed by Joël Vaudreuil.

Alongside the production of numerous music videos, he directed the short films The magnificent life underwater (2015), La récréation du midi (2010), six plain hot dogs (2011) and The river’s lazy flow (2013), which was presented in more than a hundred festivals around the world, including Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand and Tokyo.

Independent multidisciplinary artist, Joël Vaudreuil lives and works in
Montreal. Its distinctive graphic style has earned it many mentions, including one
Retrospective at the Cinémathèque Québécoise in 2017 and another at the Carrousel international du film de Rimouski in 2021.

As illustrator who has created witty drawings with a sometimes robust humor, Joël Vaudreuil is also a musician and member of the groups Avec pas d’casque, Moussette, Le Diable (comme l’outil) and Cheval Fou.
