Łukasz Kozak

Filmmaker, visual artist, and animation director working at the intersection of film and digital media. He has over 15 years of professional experience in the game and film industries, specializing in visual effects, animation, and visual storytelling. Throughout his career, he has contributed visual effects to internationally recognized game franchises such as Dying Light and Call of Juarez.

His interest in filmmaking began during his university years, when he started creating amateur films using a VHS camera. These early experiments, made outside of any formal production structures, shaped his visual sensitivity and lasting fascination with memory, authenticity, and everyday life as cinematic material. The aesthetics and emotional honesty of analog recording continue to influence his work today.

In his author-driven projects, Kozak often draws from autobiographical experiences, exploring themes of youth, identity, and the relationship between individuals and the places they come from. His work moves between realism and stylization, using animation and visual language as tools for emotional storytelling rather than technical display.

He is currently developing an independent feature-length animated film as writer and director.
