Introduction

For Ginchan, Hanachan, and Miyuki—three homeless friends in Shinjuku—this Christmas brings an unexpected gift. Amid the mountains of rubbish, they discover a newborn baby. They name her Kiyoko and, taking on the role of her Godfathers, they set off through the snow-covered streets in search of the child’s mother.
As the three friends, adrift in life and wandering through Tokyo’s darker corners, confront this sudden twist of fate, they are led towards a miracle.
