Introduction
Arisugawa Tetsuko, who has just transferred to Ishinomori Middle School, hears a rumor that “Judas was killed by four other Judas.” She learns that “Hana,” a resident of the neighboring house which is feared and called “Flower House,” knows the details, so she sneaks into the Flower House. There, she meets her reclusive classmate Arai Hana.

Iwai Shunji
Born in Miyagi prefecture, Japan in 1963. In 1995 Iwai made his feature film directorial debut with “Love Letter.” He then took on the challenge of making a feature-length animated film with “The Case of Hana and Alice” and was highly acclaimed both in Japan and overseas. His other major works include “Swallowtail Butterfly,” “All About Lily Chou-Chou,” “Hana and Alice,” “Last Letter,” and “Kyrie.” He also wrote the lyrics for “Flowers Will Bloom,” the theme song to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Iwai continues to work borderlessly in variety of genres both in Japan and overseas.
