"Kamiyama began his career in 1985 as part of the art and background staff at Studio Fuga. He gained early recognition for his work on Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade (2000) and made his directorial debut with Mini Pato (Patlabor Minimum). He later achieved widespread acclaim as the director and series composer of the hit TV anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
Since 2017, he has co-directed full 3DCG animations alongside Shinji Aramaki, working on titles such as ULTRAMAN and Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045. His latest work, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, was released in theaters in December 2024."
