In the year 2092, in the vastness of space, Heinz, Miguel, Ivanov, and Aoshima work as space junk collectors, salvaging debris from derelict ships. One day, they receive an SOS signal from the Sargasso region, known as the graveyard of space, accompanied by an opera recording of Madame Butterfly. They set off to rescue those in need and discover a floating spaceship. Onboard, Heinz and Miguel uncover a collection of mementos belonging to Eva, a brilliant soprano singer from the early 21st century.

Nobuo Tanaka, an employee at Nishibashi Pharmaceuticals in Kofu, takes a sample of a new medicine recommended by a colleague while recovering from a cold. However, it turns out to be a top-secret biological weapon under government development. The gas emitted by those who take the drug instantly renders everyone around them unconscious. Branded as a weapon himself, Tanaka becomes the target of a government operation to eliminate him…
The City of Cannons
A boy lives in a mobile city, heavily fortified with countless cannons. The nation is at war with an enemy state. At school, the boy diligently studies artillery, while his father works as a loader at Gun Platform 17 and his mother takes part-time shifts at a shell factory. Each day begins and ends with the sounds of war. Amid this unchanging cycle, the boy dreams of one day becoming a gunner—a prestigious role in their militarized society.
