Introduction

Okada wrote such films as "anohana the Movie: The Flower We Saw That Day" (2013), a movie known to make adults cry; "The Anthem of the Heart" (2015), a movie focusing on the emotional wounds of a young girl and; "Her Blue Sky" (2019), a movie about facing a dream you once gave up (once abandoned). In 2018, she made her directorial debut with "MAQUIA: When the Promised Flower Blooms" and won the award for Best Animation at the Shanghai International Film Festival 2018, garnering international attention. She is known as an auteur whose works strike deep at the heart of whoever watches them.
