Introduction

Marco is a young boy who lives in the Italian port of Genoa. Together with his parents and his older brother, who attends a railway training school, they live a modest life. But life has been getting harder day-by-day, and finally his mother leaves and goes to work in Argentina. Marco can handle the loneliness, but gradually the news from his mother Anna stops coming. Marco’s firm determination to go looking for his mother finally overcomes his father’s opposition, and Marco begins a long and painful journey. Marco experiences many encounters with all kinds of people in Argentina, but his bright and cheerful personality see him through, and he finally reunites with his mother Anna in the town of Tucuman.
