ある冬の時代。 人類はヴァンパイアとの戦争に敗れ、地球上にほとんどの居住区を失った。生き残った人々は小さな都市に光の壁を築き、身を守りながら生存圏の再拡大を望んでいた。 抑圧された暮らしの中、敵であるヴァンパイアとの共存を望む主人公・モモ。 かつて人間を愛し、戦場から姿を消したヴァンパイアの女王・フィーネ。 都市に戦火が広がる中、2人は運命的な出会いを果たす。 その昔、ヴァンパイアと人間が共に暮らす『楽園』があった。 これは『楽園』を求めて旅をする1人の少女とヴァンパイアの物語──。

A small city-state protected by a massive wall of light has become one of the last strongholds of the human race -its leaders determined to regain control over the world they have lost.

Ryotaro Makihara
1980年生まれ、愛知県出身。アニメーション制作会社のテレコム、シンエイ動画、Production I.G等を経て、WIT STUDIO創業時に初期メンバーとして参加。WIT STUDIO初の劇場作品である『ハル-HAL-』で監督を務める。続いて監督した2015年公開の『屍者の帝国』では、世界4大アニメーション映画祭である「ザグレブ国際アニメーション映画祭」長編コンペティションにノミネートされた。
Born in 1980 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Worked for animation production companies such as Telecom, Shin-Ei Animation, and Production I.G, before joining WIT STUDIO as one of the first members when it was founded. After directing WIT STUDIO's first theatrical film, Hal, Ryotaro directed Empire of the Corpse released in 2015, which was nominated for the Feature film Competition at the Zagreb International Animation Film Festival, one of the four major animation film festivals in the world.
