9世紀のアイルランド。バイキングの襲来にそなえ、ケルズ修道院を囲む塀を作る大規模な工事が続く中、バイキングに襲われたスコットランドのアイオナ島から、高名な修道士エイダンが、一冊の「聖なる書」を携え逃れて来る。その本には隠された知恵と力が秘められていた。本を完成させるためブレンダンは、インクの原料である、ある植物の実を探しに、危険を冒して、不思議な生き物が隠れ住む魔法の森へ出かける。森でオオカミの妖精アシュリンの助けを得てブレンダンは、無事に実を持ち帰るが、バイキングの襲来がケルズにも迫っていた。ブレンダンは本の力によって、迫りくる闇を打ち砕き、世界に光を取り戻すことができるのか？
Ireland, 9th century. While extensive work continues to build a wall around Kells Abbey in preparation for a Viking attack, Aidan, a renowned monk, escapes from the Viking-infested Scottish island, Iona, carrying a ‘holy book’. The book contains hidden wisdom and power. In order to complete the book, Brendan risks going into an enchanted forest where strange creatures live in hiding, in search of the fruit of a certain plant from which the ink is made. With the help of Ashlyn, a wolf nymph in the forest, Brendan brings the berries back safely, but the Vikings’ attack on Kells is imminent. Can Brendan use the power of the book to shatter the oncoming darkness and restore light to the world?

1977年1月7日、北アイルランド・ニューリー生まれ。ダブリンのバリーファーモット・カレッジでアニメーション制作を学び、1999年にポール・ヤング、ノラ・トゥーミーと共にアニメーション・スタジオ、カートゥーン・サルーンを設立。『ブレンダンとケルズの秘密』（09）で長編デビュー、続く『ソング・オブ・ザ・シー海のうた』（14）『ウルフウォーカー』（20）と長編３作全てがアカデミー賞にノミネートされた。
"Tomm Moor
Born 7 January 1977, Newry, Northern Ireland. Studied animation production at Ballyfermot College, Dublin, and founded the animation studio Cartoon Saloon with Paul Young and Nora Toomey in 1999. He made his feature debut with “The Secret of Brendan and Kells (2009)”, followed by “Song of the Sea (2002)” and “Wolfwalkers (2020)”, all three of which were nominated for Academy Awards.
