Introduction作品紹介

幼少のころ、幼なじみの祈本里香を交通事故により目の前で失った乙骨憂太。怨霊と化した里香の呪いに苦しみ、自身の死を望む乙骨だったが、最強の呪術師・五条 悟によって、呪術高専に迎え入れられた。そして、同級生の禪院真希・狗巻 棘・パンダと出会い、乙骨は里香の呪いを解く決意をする。一方、乙骨たちの前にかつて一般人を大量虐殺し高専を追放された最悪の呪詛師・夏油 傑が現れる。「来たる12月24日 我々は百鬼夜行を行う」呪術師だけの楽園を標榜する夏油は、非術師を殲滅させんと、ついに新宿・京都に千の呪いを放ち――果たして、乙骨は夏油を止められるのか、そして、里香の解呪の行方は‥‥。

“It’s a promise. When we both grow up, we’ll get married.”
Rika became an apparition, and Yuta longed for his own death after suffering under her curse,
but the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, welcomed him into jujutsu High.
There Yuta meets his classmates, Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, and finally finds his own determination.
“I want the confidence to say it’s okay that I’m alive!”
“While I’m at Jujutsu High, I’ll break Rika-chan’s curse.”
Meanwhile, the vile curse user, Suguru Geto, who was expelled from the school for massacring ordinary people, appears before Yuta and the others.
“This coming December 24th, we shall carry out the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.”
While Geto advocates for creating a paradise for only jujutsu sorcerers, he unleashes a thousand curses upon Shinjuku and Kyoto to exterminate all non-sorcerers.
Will Yuta be able to stop Geto in the end?
And what will happen to breaking Rika’s curse…?

■プログラム・ディレクター数土直志による各氏の受賞理由

現代の若者の心を掴み空前の大ヒットになった『呪術廻戦 0』。これはアニメーション制作を担当したMAPPAが設立から12年の若いスタジオであることも無関係ではないはずです。『チェーンソーマン』、『ユーリ!!! on ICE』など話題作を次々に生み出すMAPPAは、新しい時代を捉える未来のアニメスタジオなのです。

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was an unprecedented hit, capturing the hearts and minds of today’s youth. The fact that MAPPA, which was commissioned to produce the animation, is a young studio that has only been in existence for 12 years is no doubt irrelevant. The studio has also produced high-profile works such as “Chainsaw Man” and “Yuri! on ICE”, MAPPA is an animation studio of the future that captures the new era.
