海外での日本のマンガ・アニメの人気が凄いと言われて久しい。このオタク系ファンは海外でも日本と同じように、多くはマンガを原作とする連続TVアニメにその原体験がある。その彼らのツボにはまってブームとなる日本アニメ・マンガがある一方で、海外の研究者、編集者、配給業者によって”価値づけ“を施されて人気となり、歴史に名を残し息の長い売上をあげる作品や監督が現れる。そのメカニズムに多くのインタビューによって迫ります。
It has long been said that Japanese manga and anime are hugely popular abroad.
This Otaku fan base has its origins in serialised TV anime, many of which are based on manga, even in other countries.
While some Japanese anime and manga have become popular because they hit the right spot, others have been " valorised" by overseas researchers, editors and distributors and have become popular and have left their mark on history, with some works and directors achieving long-lasting sales. This section explores the mechanisms behind this through interviews.
