少年は両親と共に幸せに暮らしていた。しかしある日突然、父が出稼ぎのため、列車に乗って旅立ってしまう。少年は父を見つけて家に連れ帰ることを決意する。少年の前には、虐げられる農民たちの農村や、孤独が巣食う都会など、未知なる世界が待ち受けていた。
O Menino e o Mundo
A boy lived happily with his parents until one day his father abruptly left on a train to go out to work. The boy decides to find his father and bring him home. An unknown world awaits the boy, including a farming village of oppressed peasants and a city where loneliness nestles.

1971年ブラジル生まれ。サンパウロを拠点とするアニメーション作家。本作『父を探して』は二本目の長編アニメーションで、アヌシーでクリスタル（グランプリ）と観客賞を受賞。アカデミー賞ノミネート。最新作『Perlimps（原題）』が昨年ワールド・プレミア。
Animator born and based in São Paulo, Brazil. “Boy and the World”, is his second animated feature and won the Crystal (Grand Prize) and the Audience Award at Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It was also nominated for an Academy Award. His latest film, “Perlimps”, had its world premiere last year.
